Welcome once again to BELIZEmagazine.com - The Internet Magazine of Belize. In this our sixth edition and we are once again proud of the work by our staff and our contributors to bring to you our readership some of the best quality Belizean content available on the Internet.

In this April 2005 edition of BELIZEmagazine.com, our '20 Questions' interview guest is Ms. Myrna Manzares, the President of the Belize Kriol Council. In our exclusive interview she tells us about her youth and we learn about her person and her view of her country.

In this April Edition we report on an endangered bird species – the Trogon, we journey up the Monkey River and visit the Belize Maya archaeological site of Cerros at the Bay of Chetumal. Fraser C. Heston has contributed his memories of his first catch of a Permit, an adventure he set out with Charlie Leslie from Tarpon Caye and which he will never forget. We introduce you to Egbert Jacobs, a village council leader in the Toledo district and take you on a road trip across the Guatemalan border to Tikal.

Once again in this edition, we provide you with a 'Happy Hour - Tropical Cocktails' Recipe with a Belizean Flavor, sponsored by Travellers Liquors Ltd and Alfredo Villoria of Dem Dats Doin, the co-founder and co-owner of the Toledo Botanical Arboretum located in the heart of the Toledo District, explains how to make your very own perfume.
