Weather
wise, what a year it's been for beautiful Belize. This year it's
been all different. Especially down in southern Belize, the people
couldn't help but wonder each day about the possibilities of there
being some truth in all that talk about the phenomenon known as
'global warming'. For in the traditionally rain soaked south,
the so called dry-season, which usually runs from March through
mid-May, was relatively wet. Then came the May flood that everyone
said we needed, "We need the flood for the Iguana Eggs".
And then, when the rainy season was suppose to start, it got really
dry. Instead of the annual summer rains, this past summer it was
hot, sunny, and nice weather from June through late September
- simply unheard of in the Toledo District. All said, in Belize
you should always be prepared for hot days as well as thunderstorms,
any time of the day, any day of the year. Please use any of the
