Breadfruit
Vegetable Oil
1-2
Avocados
1 small Onion
1 Tomatoe
Juice of one Lime
salt
and pepper

For
this issue of BELIZEmagazine.com our food editor and roving restaurant
reporter received a letter from High School student Jenine Williams
from Toledo. Jenine wrote: "Have you ever tried Breadfruit
Chips? You should! They are the best." So here is the recipe
Jenine sent us:
Peal
and wash the breadfruit. Cut the breadfruit in half and take
out the middle of both halves. Slice it length ways thin. Fry
it in pan of hot oil until browned. You can sprinkle it with
a little bit of salt if you want to.
For
the Guacamole Dip peel ripe Avocado. Take out seed. Mash Avocado
with fork. Add salt and lime juice, small diced onions and tomatoes.
If you like you can add a little black pepper or habanero sauce
to make the dip spicy.
